A visit to San Fernando Cathedral gave me a lot to think about . . .
Just after I took this picture of #SanFernando Cathedral in #SanAntonio, I was approached by an elderly homeless man who took me and introduced me to the rest of his homeless "family" - one was a young man, one was a US Army veteran, and another was a woman.
It's amazing how quickly things can spiral out of control and one can be left #homeless. Many of us live on the edge and are just one serious illness away from losing everything. Many of the homeless are not so different from us or people we've met in our own neighborhoods in the past.
After I bought them all breakfast tacos and coffee, they asked me to pray with them. They gave thanks that I had come along. It certainly gave me a lot to think about as I went back to my own family and my own life.
