It is important that we all are aware of what we should do when inclement weather strikes, please look over the following safety tips:
Always check the current road conditions in your area by calling (800) 452-9292.
Be sure to remove all snow and ice from your vehicle before driving; make sure that the windshield is clear as well as the taillights and headlights.
Accelerate slower than normal in wet conditions.
Increase the distance between your car and the car in front of you.
Remember that bridges, shaded areas and overpasses may take longer to thaw out and may still be slick. Approach all of these slowly.
Never use cruise control in wet conditions.
If you can, use non-freezing windshield washer fluid.
And as always, maintain your car to keep our roads safe.
