"Last night, Maria Elena and I heard, along with the rest of the world, of the shocking incident at Fort Hood. We are deeply saddened at the events and the continue to wait with bated breath to hear if all of the wounded soldiers will make full recoveries. These soldiers have given so much to protect our safety and they deserve to feel safe when they come home to their families. It is a tragedy of the highest degree, and my wife and I will keep the soldiers and their families in our thoughts and prayers."
